6 months of Elacin4Life: less hassle, more control over hearing protection

In December 2025, we introduced Elacin4Life: a new way of working that fundamentally simplifies the renewal process for custom hearing protection.

No repeated imprint appointments. No waiting times. No disruption to operations.

Now, six months later, we can clearly see how that promise translates into practice. And one conclusion consistently stands out from customer feedback: the greatest gain is time.

Back to the traditional process (and why it causes friction)
For many organisations, renewing hearing protection is a recurring but often underestimated logistical process:
  • scheduling appointments with employees
  • factoring in production and waiting times
  • taking employees off the work floor
  • coordinating across multiple parties

This process can easily take weeks and requires continuous planning and organisation. And that is exactly where the frustration lies.

What Elacin4Life changes

With Elacin4Life, the principle is simple: one ear impression; everything else is digital.

The initial impression is stored as a 3D file

A validated algorithm predicts how the ear canal evolves over time. Renewals are handled through the customer portal, with just one click. No new appointments. No additional steps.

Elacin4Life - One Imprint. Always a perfect fit.

The biggest gain: time (at multiple levels)

Early user feedback shows a remarkably consistent pattern.

  1. Less disruption on the work floor
“Employees no longer need to leave their daily tasks for new fittings.”
“No need to take employees out of production, clear productivity gain.”

  2. Less planning and organisation
    Scheduling appointments is completely eliminated.
“It significantly simplifies organisation and follow-up.”

  3. Faster renewal process
Ordering is done directly via the portal, without waiting time.

Traditional method: up to 16–18 working days lead time
Elacin4Life: immediate ordering, no waiting time

  4. Time saved for everyone
Not only for the organisation, but also for employees themselves.
    “Time savings for everyone.”

Practical simplicity in everyday use

Beyond time, ease of use is another key theme in the feedback.

Users describe Elacin4Life as:

  • “easy and practical”
  • “simple thanks to the portal”
  • “convenient ordering”

The portal plays a central role here:

  • one-click ordering
  • no scheduling, no administrative burden

What about quality and fit?

A natural question when moving to a digital solution.

Elacin4Life is built on:

  • the analysis of more than 3,800 ear impressions
  • evaluation based on 10,000 data points per impression
  • validation through pilot studies
  • measurements and user feedback

The result

Quality and complaint levels are comparable to traditional methods

In practice, we see:

  • many users experiencing a consistent and reliable fit
  • occasional adjustments (as with traditional impressions)
  • growing confidence as organisations adopt the system

More than time: additional benefits that matter

While time savings are the main driver, customers highlight other advantages as well:

  • Reduced risk and effort

No travel to audiologists and fewer physical procedures.

  • More sustainable process

Fewer physical impressions means reduced material use and less waste

  • Better scalability

For larger organisations, the process becomes more predictable and easier to manage.

An innovation now officially patented

In March 2026, Elacin4Life was granted a Dutch patent. This confirms what we already believed: this is not just an improvement it is a structural innovation in the market.

What does this mean for your organisation?

After six months, we see that Elacin4Life delivers the most value in organisations where:

  • many employees use hearing protection
  • planning and logistics are complex
  • productivity and continuity are critical

In these environments, the process shifts from:

organising, scheduling and waiting

to

clicking, producing and delivering

A new standard in the making

What we are seeing now is the start of a broader shift.

From physical to digital.

From reactive to predictable.

From time-consuming to streamlined.

And perhaps the most important change:

hearing protection is no longer just managed; it is optimised.
